About
NUWOG

Supporting vulnerable women in Uganda through empowerment, compassion, and community action.

About NUWOG

Vulnerable women in Uganda remain at the heart of NUWOG’s mission, and Namayingo United Women’s Group was registered in 2019 under the Department of Community Based Services to support vulnerable women and community volunteers in Namayingo District.

NUWOG was founded to respond to the daily realities many women face, including poverty, unemployment, inequality, and limited access to practical support. We exist to restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and create pathways to opportunity through local action.

NUWOG is a women-led community initiative committed to uplifting women and supporting the volunteers who stand beside them. We work closely with communities to identify needs, mobilize support, and build responses that are practical, compassionate, and sustainable.

Our organization values participation, collaboration, and long-term empowerment. We do not simply respond to challenges for today. We help women build the confidence, capacity, and hope they need for tomorrow.
